To our dear community of supporters,
As we go into this holiday season, a time of family and friends, gratitude and reflection, we at ISAASE want to take a moment to thank you.
Thank you for visiting ISAASE.org and telling friends and family about our work.
Thank you for sharing our research and our free resources and articles with teachers and other education leaders.
Thank you for helping us build our book lists for the #BrownBooksProject.
Thank you for sharing our interviews with South Asian Americans who inspire us.
Thank you for connecting with us on Twitter and Instagram.
(And though it seems like such a small thing — thank you for subscribing to our newsletter!)
When we launched this year, we started sharing our work with a community that still does not entirely recognize why our efforts to improve South Asian American students’ experiences matter. But it’s thanks to your support that these stories are heard and people are beginning to take notice that South Asian American kids’ needs matter, too. Not everyone — including educators — understands why we collectively need to better understand the stories and experiences of Brown kids, and we still have plenty of work to do. But your support has made this first year inspiring, and we are hopeful about what 2018 will bring.
We’re all done — but please take a moment to update your address books! ISAASE can now be most easily contacted at:
(If you think of something you’d like to share with us, please drop us a line. We’d love to hear from you in the coming new year.)
Wishing you a warm and happy holiday season!
